I showed up BETTER for my existing fractional CMO clients. Made clearer strategic decisions. And actually got to have dinner with my toddler 5 nights a week without checking my phone.
The non-negotiables that changed everything:
PERSONAL: → Family dinner 5 nights/week (no client calls during that time) → 7 hours of sleep every night
→ Weekends are sacred (no client work unless critical)
Sounds soft, right?
Here's the business reality: Tired Justin makes terrible million-dollar marketing decisions.
When I'm making strategic calls for clients paying $10K-$20K/month while running on fumes, everyone loses. The client gets subpar strategy. I resent the work. And my family gets whatever's left.
But here's what I learned that matters for YOU:

If you're a company doing $500K-$5M in revenue and need marketing leadership:
✓ Tracking must be in place - Google Analytics, UTM parameters, working CRM. I don't guess, I use data. If yours is broken, we fix it first.
✓ No hourly rate conversations - I work on value-based retainers tied to outcomes, not timesheets. If you're asking "what's your hourly rate," we're not a fit.
✓ Be open to best practices - I've worked with enough startups across BioTech, SaaS, FinTech, and eCommerce to know what works. If you're fighting me because "that's how we've always done it," we'll both be miserable.
