In my 20s, I was the nice guy. The one who stayed up all night, drove to client offices on weekends, said yes to everything. I thought that was the path to success.

3 Sales Pro Tips I Shared on the Space (Use These This Week)

1. The Magic Wand Question On every prospect call, ask: "If I could wave a magic wand across your business, what would success look like in 90 days?"

Then be quiet. Let them paint the picture.

If they describe something unrealistic — you know you've got an education problem (or a bad fit). If they're reasonable — you've got a client. You've also got your pitch built for free.

2. The Value Anchor Follow up with: "How much would something like that be worth to your business?"

Shut up again. Let them name it.

Now you know their perceived value of the outcome. You've anchored the conversation to their number — not yours. This makes your pricing feel like math, not negotiation.

3. Position as Investment, Not Expense Listen carefully to how prospects describe what you do. "Accountant" = cost center. "Tax advisor" = value creator. "Marketing guy" = expense line. "Growth partner" = investment.

If they see you as an expense, reframe it immediately — or walk. You'll never win that client's respect.

The ChatGPT Ads Opportunity (Get In NOW)

OpenAI is rolling out ads. Right now, 90-95% of their users are on the free version — that's where the ads will live. And here's the thing most people aren't seeing:

Early inventory = cheap. Just like Google Ads in 2001. Just like Facebook Ads in 2010. Supply and demand will drive costs up fast once the masses figure it out.

I'm testing it. You should too. Offer it to your clients as an experiment. Get ahead of the curve.
