Between 2004-2009, I ran an IT consulting business that generated over $1 million in revenue.
Impressive, right? That's what I thought too.
Until I actually looked at the profit: $50,000 over 5 years.
Let that sink in for a second. A million dollars in revenue, and I barely kept enough to survive.
That expensive lesson completely changed how I approach business today.

But revenue is just what comes IN the door. Profit is what you actually KEEP.

1. Retainer + Performance Structure
Every client engagement includes a base retainer (covers operations + profit margin) PLUS a percentage based on actual results delivered.
2. Equity When Possible
For high-potential clients, I negotiate equity. Why? Because if I'm helping scale a $2M company to $10M, I should participate in that upside.
3. Value-Based Pricing
I don't charge for my time. I charge for the VALUE I create.
Real Example:
My client Earthspoke Farms was struggling with stagnant social media, declining organic traffic, and poor ad performance.
