I asked this question in today's Wins for the Week Spaces, and I want to share the answer that changed my entire approach to business.

Years ago, during a brutal project where my team was getting hammered daily, someone asked me: "How do you define a good day?"

The answer they gave me:

  1. You wake up and breathe

  2. You have the opportunity to make money

That's it. Everything else—nice interactions, completed tasks, good dinner—is a bonus.

Here's why this matters:

A whole bunch of people didn't wake up this morning. You did. You're already ahead.

When you adopt this mindset, you stop sweating the small stuff and focus on the big rocks—the revenue-generating activities that actually move your business forward.

THE BRUTAL TRUTH ABOUT SALES

Only 3% of your audience is ready to buy RIGHT NOW.

The other 97% needs: → More nurturing → More pain → Better timing → Stronger trust

When someone doesn't buy from you, it's NOT a reflection of you. It's a reflection of their current state.

Maybe they're urgent but don't have money. Maybe they have money but no urgency. Maybe they don't even realize they have the problem yet.

Your job? Keep showing up. Keep making offers. Keep providing value.

Because when their timing finally aligns with your offer, they'll buy. Just like you get hungry and eat food—it's inevitable when all factors align.

THE 10 C'S FRAMEWORK FOR REVENUE

This is the exact framework I've used for 15 years to help companies generate millions:

1. CARE People don't care what you know until they know you care. Start here.

2. COMMIT Hunt for business. Don't wait for inbounds (unless you're already established).

3. COMMUNITY Build or join relevant communities where your ideal customers hang out.

4. CONTEXT Understand the conversation and environment of that community.

5. COMMUNICATIONS Master multi-channel messaging: video, podcasts, spaces, writing, in-person.

6. CONTENT CREATION Create value that attracts and converts. This is the fuel for all your systems.

7. CONSISTENCY This is 80% of the game. Show up relentlessly for 90 days minimum.

8. CONVERSION Optimize every touchpoint: email signups, meetings booked, engagement.

9. CASH Generate measurable financial results. Monthly recurring revenue is ideal.

The formula: Visibility + Credibility = Profitability
