I do not start there.

I start with one question: what is NOT working right now?

Because you cannot test clean on a broken foundation. Layer new spend on top of a leaky system and all you have done is lose money faster and with better dashboards.

Here is the audit sequence I run.

1. Stop the bleeding first. Identify what is not working and kill it before anything new gets funded. This is unglamorous and it is the highest-ROI hour in the entire engagement.

2. Run the offer through three questions. Does it save them TIME? Does it save them MONEY? Does it help them EARN more money?

At least one has to be a hard yes. If all three are no, you do not have a marketing problem. You have an OFFER problem, and no budget fixes that.

3. Separate business model from revenue model. Your business model is who you serve and what you sell. Your revenue model is what they actually pay for, how you acquire them, and how you retain them. Founders blur these constantly. They are different questions with different answers and you need both written down.

4. Answer the question nobody asks enough. What is in it for THEM?

Not your mission statement. Not your origin story. What does the buyer walk away with.

5. Map the pipeline the way it actually behaves.

SUSPECT → PROSPECT → CUSTOMER → ADVOCATE

On setbacks.

We had a strong room this week. A certification passed. A CRM system shipped end to end. Five new clients signed in two weeks. A second book sale. A 90-Day Sprint completed. And in every single case there were losses on the way.

Setbacks are setups. Breakdowns lead to breakthroughs. You have to go through it to grow through it.

There is no losing. Only winning and learning.

Attention spans are shrinking. The old playbooks are breaking. AI is rewriting cost structures. The instinct is to do MORE.
