The verdict: building in a bubble is keeping you broke.
Here's the pattern I'm seeing across the trenches:
Founders are spending six months polishing an offer. Validating with ChatGPT. Convincing themselves that the market will love it because they love it. Then they push to launch and crickets.
Why?
Because the market never voted. Time invested isn't value created. Only the buyer's perception of value moves the revenue needle.
Why does every QBR sound like it took an hour to prep?
The strategic-account QBR has a different feeling. The CSM walks in knowing the buying committee, usage trends, support history, news on the company. They've blocked an hour to prep. The customer feels seen.
The other 190 QBRs don't get that hour. The CSM scans the dashboard five minutes before the call. They wing it. The customer answers the same baseline questions for the third time this year.
What if every QBR was a strategic-account QBR? Two minutes before the call, your CSM has the full brief in Slack: usage trends, support history, NPS, news on the company, what their champion just posted on LinkedIn.

The Ronin Playbook for breaking the bubble:
→ Pre-qualify HARD on minute one. State your floor immediately. "I work with founders at $5–10K/month minimum." If they don't fit, disconnect respectfully. Time is the only asset you can't refund.
→ Take it OFFLINE. I've met 30+ people in person from X over the years. Body language, tone, unfiltered reaction. You will NEVER get this from a DM thread.
→ Lead with the Givers Gain principle. BNI taught me this 25+ years ago and it still prints. Deliver value with no ask attached. The market remembers who paid the value tax first.
→ Reframe every piece of content with two questions: What's in it for them? Why should they care? If you can't answer both in 3 seconds — cut it.
→ Send proof BEFORE the call, not after. I sent a transformation video to a prospect yesterday before we hopped on. They walked in emotionally primed because they recognized the person in the video. The pitch became a formality.
The deeper truth from today's session: the Ronin only enters battles we can win and DOMINATE. That means picking the right prospects, the right rooms, and the right battlefields.
